Privacy Policy

Test Maker is a free app with an optional Premium subscription, built by SergeVApps. This page explains what information the app works with, how it is used, and what choices you have. We collect only what is needed to provide and improve the Service, and we never sell your data or share it with anyone except as described below.

Information Collection and Use

The tests and questions you create are stored on your device. If you sign in and use cloud features, they are also stored securely in the cloud, as described below.

The app uses trusted third-party services that may collect information used to identify you. Their privacy policies:

Account and Sign-In

The core features of Test Maker work without an account. To use cloud features (cloud storage, automatic sync, sharing), you can create an account with your email address and a password, or sign in with your Google account. Authentication is handled by Firebase Authentication (a Google service).

  • Your email address is stored solely to identify your account and your cloud content.

  • You can delete your account at any time from the account settings inside the app — this removes your authentication data and your cloud content.

Subscriptions and Payments

Test Maker offers an optional Premium subscription. All payments are processed entirely by Google Play. We never receive or store your payment details, such as card numbers. Subscription status is verified through Google Play Billing.

Cloud Storage

The app uses Firebase Storage (a Google service) to store and deliver user-generated content: your cloud test library, imported tests, shared files, and uploaded images. With a Premium subscription, your tests sync to your cloud library automatically.

  • Files are stored in Google's Firebase Cloud infrastructure with encrypted connections.

  • Access is restricted by authentication and access control rules: your cloud library is accessible only to you.

  • Files are not publicly accessible unless you explicitly choose to share them.

  • You can delete your uploaded content at any time from within the app.

AI Features

Test Maker uses the Anthropic Claude API to generate educational test questions and to suggest answers for questions you write. Older versions of the app used the OpenAI API for the same purpose.

  • When you use an AI feature, only the text you provide (such as a test topic or the text of your question) is securely sent to the AI provider for processing.

  • No personal information — such as your name, email, or device identifiers — is transmitted to the AI provider.

  • The AI provider may temporarily retain the request for system monitoring and abuse prevention, in accordance with its privacy policy.

Diagnostic Data

If an error occurs in the app, standard diagnostic information may be collected through the third-party services listed above: device model, operating system version, app configuration, IP address, and time of use. This data is used only to find and fix problems.

The app also keeps a local diagnostic log on your device. It is never transmitted automatically — it is shared only if you personally choose to attach it to a support email.

Cookies

The Service does not use cookies directly. Third-party libraries used by the app may use cookie-like technologies to provide and improve their services.

Service Providers

We work with the third-party companies listed above to facilitate the Service, provide it on our behalf, and analyze how it is used. These providers have access only to the information needed to perform their tasks and are obligated not to use it for any other purpose.

Security

Your data is protected with industry-standard security measures: encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS), Firebase authentication, and strict access control rules. Cloud content is stored in Google's secure infrastructure, and access to your library is limited to your account.

Links to Other Sites

The Service may contain links to external sites that are not operated by us. We recommend reviewing the privacy policy of any site you visit, as it applies instead of this one.

Children's Privacy

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and it will be promptly deleted.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time. Changes are posted on this page and take effect immediately upon posting. Please review this page periodically.
